Warner Bros Games Montreal seems to enjoy toying with their fans a little too much based on these new teasers for their next game. They haven’t officially come out and confirmed what it’s about. However, the prevailing assumption that it’s a new Batman Arkham game seems quite likely.
Warner Bros Games Montreal Tease More Symbols, Reveal New Website
They tweeted out a short teaser clip which, once again, shows flashes of certain symbols. One of these symbols also features an owl, which feeds into the theory that this new Batman game will feature the Court Of Owls.
The tweet also tags a new Twitter account, named @r3dakt3d, which points users to r3dakt3d.com. If you go to the website right now, it simply displays a message which reads “We have been expecting you,” with the date “8/18” next to it. That’s August 18, which is today. Below the message is also a countdown timer which seems like it will end in about four hours as of me writing this.
Teaser Website Has A Countdown That Will End Soon
I have no idea what we will get once the timer hits zero. Warner Bros. Games Montreal does have a panel scheduled for August 22, 2020, during DC’s FanDome. One would think that whatever they want to reveal, they’d reveal it then. So, even if we do get anything at the end of this countdown, I’d expect it to be another teaser.
Website Source Code Seems To Hint At A New Trailer On Friday
Based on what we know so far, that seems likely. As IGN reports, this teaser website’s source code contains some secrets. Right now, it seems like they’re running a teaser campaign which will culminate on Friday, August 21, 2020. We may get a full trailer on that day.
From a neutral perspective, this seems like an intriguing marketing campaign. However, as a huge Batman nut, all this teasing is driving me insane. Warner Bros Game Montreal has been frustratingly cryptic about this game since January this year. I simply want something concrete for once.
