The families of black people who have been shot or killed unnecessarily by the police gathered together in Washington, the same place where Martin Luther King gave “I Have a Dream” speech.
The March

This Friday the family of the police assault victims gathered together at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington to speak and show support to fellow victims and black families.
This event was called Commitment March: Get Your Knee off Our Necks, which gained thousands of supporters quickly.
The families of victims like George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Eric Garner and Jacob Blake were present.
This plan came into action because of Geroge Floyd. Reverend Al Sharpton wanted to do a memorial service for him which got bigger and turned into a march organised by National Action Network.
The purpose of this march is to stop racial discrimination and police brutality.
The family of Dontre Hamilton, Trayvon Martin and Ahmaud Arbery were also present, and they spoke on how they felt losing a child and what needs to be changed.
Black Lives Matter

This march is just one branch of the more massive moment, Black Lives Matter which has been gaining a lot of support from people all around the world.
These protests were going on for a long time seeking justice and recently erupted again with the shooting of another Black man Jacob Blake. His father was also present.
This is a moment we all should consider serious, this is a moment which may bring a change, and this can be the moment we all have been waiting for. Never forget that Black Lives Matter.
