An elderly woman got sucker-punched in the face for confronting a bunch of teens for snatching her purse in New York.
Sucker Punched
On Thursday around 7 pm, a 74-year-old woman was standing in the East Village when three people passed by her.
Among the three one of them snatched her purse which was caught on the security camera and as she turns to confront them, she got punched in her face and was knocked down.
But the person who grabbed the purse dropped it and all three fled the scene.
The suspects were said to be two males and a female of the age group between 14 and 18.
The NYPD gave the report that,
“Although the victim sustained bruising and swelling to her face, and cuts and scrapes to her hands, she refused medical attention,”
Increasing Violence
The woman said that she has been living in New York for a long time but nothing like this happened to her before and she wants the neighbourhood to be cleaned of these people.
This incident happened just some days after the NYPD released an official statement that there is a higher surge in robberies and thefts.
There is also an increase in gun violence which doesn’t sound good to the safety of the people of NYC
