We’ve been waiting for Ted Lasso Season 3 for a long time — Season 2 was released in the summer of 2021 — and unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to be coming anytime soon, as Ted Lasso himself, Jason Sudeikis, works to ensure Season 3 is perfect.
We were hoping that the new season of Apple TV+’s Emmy-winning series would premiere during the World Cup, but that was not to be. But we think Season 3 will be worth the wait.

Ted Lasso Season 3 Premiere Date
There is no set date. Season 3’s 12-episode run was originally scheduled to begin in the fall of 2022. That’s not going to happen with the aforementioned delays. Production is not even expected to be completed until November. Season 3 is expected to be released in winter or early spring 2023, according to Puck, but even that broad timeframe is subject to change.
Ted Lasso Season 3 Plot
Rebecca and Nate will go through some of Season 3’s most significant character journeys, according to Ted Lasso editors A.J. Caroline and Melissa McCoy in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.
“In season one, he was a kitman, then a coach, and now he is the manager of West Ham United,” Caroline explained. “Jason is a very generous producer and creator.” He gives each character a plot. That’s most likely why [the episodes] are so long… Because there are so many narratives, he wants every character to have an arc.”
‘TED LASSO’ Season 3 was originally supposed to air this Summer but extensive rewrites from Jason Sudeikis led to various filming delays.
The latest estimate is to wrap the series by the end of the year and air in Winter/early Spring.

Ted Lasso Season 3 Cast
The majority of the cast will return for Season 3, led by Jason Sudeikis, of course. A new cast member has been announced: Jodi Balfour (The Crown, For All Mankind) will play Jack, a charming venture capitalist. We’re excited to see how this new character fits in!

How many episodes will Ted Lasso season 3 have?
Ted Lasso Season 3 will have 12 episodes. Season 2 also had 12 episodes, whereas Season 1 only had ten. Sudeikis announced the 12-episode order backstage at the 2021 Emmys.
