“Silent Hills” was a scary video game that got cancelled. It was made by Kojima Productions and planned to be on the PlayStation 4. They started making it in 2012 but stopped in 2015. It was supposed to be the ninth game in the Silent Hill series and be directed by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro.
Konami, the company that makes the Silent Hill games, brought Kojima onto the project in 2012. They announced the game with a demo called P.T. in August 2014. People liked the demo a lot. It showed that Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus were also part of the game.
People weren’t sure if the game would come out because of rumours about Kojima working on another game and leaving Konami. In April 2015, Konami said the game was cancelled, upsetting fans and reporters. Kojima, del Toro, and Reedus collaborated on another game called Death Stranding in 2019. Will Silent Hill Release Be on PS4?

In 2023, Konami announced they were working with Bloober Team on a new Silent Hill game, but it’s unclear if it’s a Silent Hill remake or a new game. Fans will have to wait and see if Silent Hill comes to PS4, but the rumours and recent game announcement are hopeful signs.
