Politico says that an add made for 9/11 with Trump asking everyone to support the troop features Russian fighter jets in it.
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS
This ad ran on the air from Sept. 8 to Sept. 12, and it had a slogan, “SUPPORT OUR TROOPS”.
But instead of having American jets, the jets seen in the add are Russian made. The ad had three silhouettes of soldiers and a fighter jet flying above them.
Not only that the weapons the soldiers were carrying are Russian, but even the rifles they were carrying were also non-American.
The Proof
This was confirmed by Pierre Sprey, who helped in designing both the F-16 and A-10 planes for the U.S. Air Force. He said,
“That’s definitely a MiG-29, I’m glad to see it’s supporting our troops.”
MiG-29 is the name of the fighter jet made by Russia.
Also, this is not the first time Trump is misusing stock images and getting himself in troubles, during his early days as President to be precise, in 2015 Trump shared his photo with troops inside a U.S. flag.
But, the troops were not American; instead, they were Nazi soldiers from WWII.
There is another example, In 2016 Trump posted a video showing U.S. military veterans, but the video was originally from a neo-Nazi account on Twitter, and the troops were Soviets.
So no one is surprised by this act, but everyone is either amused or outraged.
