Rascal Does Not Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai is a romance anime series based on the same-named light novel series.
The light novel series, written by Hajime Kamoshida and drawn by Keeji Mizoguchi, debuted on April 10, 2014, and new volumes continue to be released to this day.
A manga version of the series, illustrated by Tsugumi Nanamiya, was released in November 2015, adding to the series’ popularity.
Four years after the light novel series’ first release, CloverWorks revealed intentions to adapt it into an anime television series, which aired on October 4, 2018. Since then, fans have awaited word on a second season, and here’s everything we know so far about Season 2.
Rascal Does Not Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai Season 2 Release Date
With no formal renewal in sight, the wait for ‘Bunny Girl Senpai’ season 2 will be interminable. The light novel series releases new volumes around every 1-2 years. As a result, the 12th book may not be available until 2022.
Assuming there is sufficient source material and the anime is renewed for a second season next year, the earliest possible release date for ‘Bunny Girl Senpai‘ Season 2 is currently 2023.
Again, they are only approximations. We’ll need to monitor the developments and amend this area when new information becomes available.
Rascal Does Not Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai Season 2 Plot
Seishun Buta Yar features an odd narrative that centers on an illness known as Puberty Syndrome. Puberty Syndrome is a rare ailment that affects only teens and causes such otherworldly symptoms that most people reject it as fiction.
The drama centers on Sakuta Azusagawa, a high school student who has firsthand knowledge that the Puberty Syndrome is not a fable but a real-life condition.
Sakuta is intensely aware of the signs of Puberty Syndrome, having observed his sister succumb to the disease. He also notices a high prevalence of the condition at his school.
It all begins when Sakuta meets Mai Sakurajima, another high school student, in the school library. Mai, by the way, is a renowned adolescent actress who abruptly ended her promising career for reasons unknown to the public.
When Sakuta discovers Mai at the library, he notices her dressed provocatively as a rabbit but is surprised that no one seems to be aware of her presence, despite her celebrity.
Sakuta meets Mai after the event and discovers that she has been diagnosed with Puberty Syndrome.
Sakuta is determined to assist Mai in overcoming her dilemma. In doing so, he comes into contact with several other females at his school who are also suffering from the same sickness.
