Paul Reubens Wife
In the eyes of the law, Paul Reubens was never legally married. His d@ting history, on the other hand, is absolutely distinctive. After the two of them walked on the red carpet at that year’s Academy Awards event, it was widely assumed that he was d@ting Italian actress Valeria Golino. The following year, Paul married in a “mock wedding.”
According to an archival Vanity Fair article, Paul “exchanged vows” in an “impromptu mock wedding ceremony” with Chandi Heffner, the adopted daughter of tobacco heiress Doris Duke.
Paul told the magazine at the time, “I still have the temporary marriage license signed by Imelda Marcos,” alluding to the Philippines’ First Lady at the time.
It’s not often that you hear of a celebrity getting “fake married,” but Paul Reubens has long been known for leading an unusual (and often contentious) existence.
Did Paul Reubens Have Kids?
Despite his erratic d@ting history, he is not said to have fathered any children. Paul d!ed with few remaining family members. He does, however, leave a legacy of comedy and redemption. His portrayal of Pee-wee Herman catapulted him to cult status among adults and children alike.
His character appeared in multiple films and even on CBS’s Saturday morning children’s show Pee-wee’s Playhouse. Before doing interviews as himself, he made multiple public appearances as Pee-wee, and the persona would appear in projects as recently as 2016.
When he wasn’t playing Pee-wee, he might be seen in shows like What We Do in the Shadows and Bob’s Burgers. Throughout his career, Paul has also faced serious criminal allegations such as indecent exposure and possession of harmful pornography.
However, the manner in which he accepted responsibility for the claims resulted in one of Hollywood’s most legendary stories of rehabilitation and redemption. Though Paul had no family at the time of his de@th, he will be remembered and grieved by his legions of fans across decades.
