Paris Fashion Week 2023 began yesterday, marking the beginning of the final week of “fashion month.” Over the next week, there will be 67 different runway shows featuring the work of 108 different designers. Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel, along with up-and-coming designers, will present groundbreaking designs for Spring/Summer 2024.

Seventh Day: October 1
Iconic luxury fashion businesses like Balenciaga and Maison Valentino, as well as lesser names like Margaret Howell and Casablanca, presented their collections on Sunday in the fashion city.
Margaret Howell’s collection, which featured timeless fabrics like tweed, twill, and poplin, paid homage to the brand’s heritage in several ways. Its inventive styles include boxy coats, voluminous sleeves, fitted pants, and bright accent colors.

Day Six: September 30
On Saturday, the fashion capital hosted runway shows for some of the most prestigious names in the business, including Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Hermes, and Elie Saab. Westwood, who is widely credited with ushering in the modern punk fashion movement, presented a line that expertly fused raw, deconstructed forms with timeless motifs and patterns.
The collection looked finished with the addition of sparkle and other stylish accents. Nadège Vanhée-Cybulski’s Hermès Spring/Summer 24 collection was a study in airiness, simplicity, and minimalism. The models’ brown, beige, and deep orange outlines stood out against a backdrop of long grass and meadows at the fashion presentation. y.

Fifth Day: September (29th)
Day five of Paris Fashion Week was great, with amazing collections shown by designers including Alexis Mabille, Leonard Paris, Victoria Beckham, Loewe, Nina Ricci, and Coperni.
Evening clothing by designer Alexis Mabille featured a variety of pastel and metallic tones, classic cuts, and floral designs. Loewe’s Spring/Summer 24 collection, directed by Jonathan Anderson, was a hit at the Château de Vincennes. The collection included easy-to-wear staples like classic knits and button-down coats.

The Spring/Summer 24 collection by Victoria Beckham was a tribute to the label’s distinctive style, featuring voluminous forms, translucent fabrics, and a muted color palette. A formal-wear aesthetic permeated the final collection of the day by Coperni, which featured plenty of denim.
Day Four: September 28
The Chinese designer label Uma Wang opened up Day 4 of Paris Fashion Week with a spectacular presentation. The collection’s faded old fabrics, projecting volumes, ribbons, and drawstrings are all inspired by Venetian culture and the idea that vintage splendor decays over time.
Chloe, a French luxury house under the direction of Gabriela Hearst, showed a collection for Spring/Summer 24 that was heavily influenced by flowers and plants and has as its central subject the need to be environmentally sensitive.

The Slovakian company Nehera combined traditional colors with exaggerated blazers and pants for its latest collection. Givenchy’s Matthew Williams presented a magnificent collection at the École Militaire in Paris, with sophisticated silhouettes, a modern aesthetic, and muted tones.

However, the Schiaparelli presentation was our favorite because of the ready-to-wear collection designed by Daniel Roseberry.
The brand’s gorgeous collection featured all-white shapes, button-down shirts, strong cuts, and distinctive accents. Stunning as ever, model Kendall Jenner was spotted walking the runway in a red, embroidered midi dress.

Third-Day: September 27
Elegant designs from Courreges, Marni, Minuit, Balmain, Didu, and Acne Studios graced the runways on day three of Paris Fashion Week. Marni’s creative director Francesco Risso, using AI-generated design and cutting-edge technology, showcased a fun and colorful collection.
Outsized coats, boxy blazers, and experimental shapes stood out with their bold use of color and pattern. In addition to 2D flowers, this collection featured prominent 3D floral accents. Denim, leather, and silk were the mainstays of Acne Studios’ “After Hours Liberation” collection for Spring/Summer 24. Famous people like Kylie Jenner sat in the front row.

Olivier Rousteing, creative director of Balmain and a French fashion designer, presented a beautiful floral-themed collection that drew heavily from the house’s history. short skirts, short dresses, and deep V necklines dominated the collection.
Second Day: September 26
Saint Laurent, Peter Do, and Christian Dior stole the show on the second day, presenting their collections to enthusiastic crowds. The day culminated with a spectacular display by Belgian-Italian designer Anthony Vaccarello at the Eiffel Tower, which celebrities like Kate Moss and Hailey Bieber attended to see Saint Laurent’s signature style.
The collection, which took its inspiration from the uniforms of female pilots and aviators throughout history, included khaki pants, buttoned tank tops, leather gloves, and head caps with visors. In addition, models wore burgundy, brown, and cream-colored service jackets and pants down the runway.

After making a splash at New York Fashion Week, Peter Do finally made his Paris debut with a collection that was equal parts seductive and refined. Each item, such as pants and blazers, had at least two of the five main colors: white, black, gray, camel, and crimson.
But it was Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Christian Dior show that everyone was talking about. There was a video projection by artist Elena Bellantoni playing in the background, which invoked strong feminist slogans like “I Don’t Belong To Anyone Else,” “My Body Is Not A Product,” and “I Am Not Your Doll.” Dresses, blazers, gowns, skirts, and black coats worn atop white shirts were among the styles on display.
Day One: September 25
Marie Adam-Leenaerdt, a relative newcomer from Belgium, opened Paris Fashion Week with a presentation of her current beach-inspired collection.
Everything was there, from dark business suits to pastel party costumes. Then Victor Weinsanto took the runway, and the designer debuted an expensive wedding dress for “a woman who gets married entirely in Swarovski” to kick off his collection.

After an absence of more than twenty years, Pierre Cardin returned to the Paris fashion scene with a show at the headquarters of the French Communist Party.
Since its creator, Pierre Cardin, passed away in 2020, this was the French label’s second display during Paris Fashion Week. Both the set and the models wore shades of blue to represent the water.
