Nokia 5.1 Plus: Finally Receives Android 10

Nokia is one of the mass Smartphone manufacturers in the world. The company not only makes smartphones but also makes many Electronic gadgets. It has released many smartphones which not only have High Specs but also have Low – Spec. The company provides a wide range of choices to consumers so that they can afford a new phone based on their spec requirements. Recently (In the last year), Nokia has released Nokia 9 Pure View, which comes under the flagship devices line-up. The device has received many positive reviews and ratings so far. Let us talk about the new update on Nokia 5.1 Plus, which has received Android 10 in the OTA. Before we discuss the device, let us talk about its specifications. The device has released in July 2018 and it is good to see that an old device receiving Android 10.

Specifications of Nokia 5.1 Plus:

The smartphone comes with the 5.86″ IPS LCD Display. It features one of the decent chipsets, the Mediatek MT6771 Helio P60 coupled with Mali-G72 MP3. It is available in three memory variants: 3GB RAM/32GB ROM, 4GB RAM/64GB ROM, and 6GB RAM/64GB ROM. The device has a Dual Camera Setup featuring (13MP+5MP) camera with the 13MP primary camera shooter and single front camera setup with an 8MP camera.

The device has a Li-Po 3060mAh battery which features a standard charging setup. It has a Face Recognition Security feature along with the Traditional Rear Fingerprint Sensor and 3.5mm Fingerprint Sensor. Now the device runs on Android 10. We all know Nokia promises two major Software Updates fro any device. They have finally released OTA featuring Android 10 for Nokia 5.1 Plus which features the size of 1.32GB. The good thing about Nokia is their old low-end devices also run on the latest Android. In the new update, the device has received redesigned UI, dark mode, new gesture navigation, and privacy enhancements. The updates are released in the form of Waves, to ensure a smooth roll-out.

As per the companies info on this update, by today 10% of users will receive the update. By May 22nd 50% of users will get the update and by May 24th of 2020, all the users receive the update.
