Natti Natasha is a well-known singer from the Dominican Republic who was signed to Orfanato Music Group, owned by Don Omar. She released her debut EP, All About Me, on March 28, 2012, and her first album, Iluminatti, on February 15, 2019, under Pina Records and Sony Music Latin. Born on December 10, 1986, in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, Natasha began her musical journey at the Fine Arts school in Santiago at the age of seven.
She says that learning to sing was one of the highlights of her life. She watched Ivy Queen from the beginning of her career and was a huge fan of Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley, and Jerry Rivera. Natasha relocated to the Bronx to further her musical career after turning eighteen, and she obtained a record deal with Don Omar’s label. She was an engineer at a makeup factory as well.

On February 1, 2021, Natti became engaged to Raphy Pina, her manager and the founder of Pina Records. On May 22, 2021, the couple welcomed Vida Isabelle Pina Gutiérrez as a daughter.

Pina received a sentence of about three and a half years in jail in May 2022 for illegal firearm possession. Natasha penned the song “La Falta Que Me Haces” (How Much I Miss You)” in 2023, which is about being apart from him while he serves his term.

Natti Natasha Awards and Nominations
Natti’s album “Dharma,” which features music by Sebastián Yatra, was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2022 for Album of the Year. Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Female was her 2019 victory after multiple “Billboard” Latin Music Award nominations. She received nominations for that category in 2018 and 2020 as well as for New Artist of the Year (2019) and Female Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year (2020 and 2022).
With over thirty nominations for the Premios Lo Nuestro, Natasha has won numerous awards, including Urban Song of the Year, Urban Collaboration of the Year, Song of the Year – Tropical, Tropical Collaboration of the Year, and Remix of the Year for Khea’s “Ayer Me Llamó Mi Ex” in 2022.

Her accomplishments include six Tu Musica Urban Awards: Best Female Artist (2020), Best Female Song (2020) for “La Mejor Versión de Mi,” Best Female Album (2020), International Female Artist (2019), International Artist Song for “Sin Pijama” (2019), and International Artist Video for “Sin Pijama” (2019).
Natti’s song “Ram Pam Pam” received her an El Premio ASCAP award for Winning Songwriters & Publishers in 2022. She has also received nominations from the Latin American Music Awards (Favorite Artist – Female, 2018), American Music Awards (Favorite Female Latin Artist, 2021), and BreakTudo Awards (Latin Artist, 2021).
