Mylon Rae LeFevre (October 6, 1944 – September 8, 2023) was an American singer who sang Christian rock songs. He had a band called Mylon and Broken Heart. He is famous in the Gospel Music world and traveled across the U.S. to sing, teach, and spread his beliefs. People could sometimes watch him on TV channels like TBN, Daystar, and Victory Channel.

Mylon Lefevre was one of the first people to make Christian rock music, and he was a good servant of God. He inspired a lot of musicians and Christians with his joy, creativity, and zeal. Mylon Lefevre Cause of Death

According to our research, Mylon LeFevre was an American Christian rock singer who died at the age of 78 on September 8, 2023. His death was said to have been caused by problems from heart disease, but some sources also said he had fought cancer for a long time. But we couldn’t find a cause of death that could be proven.

He was well-known for his work with Mylon and Broken Heart and for being inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. At age 17, he wrote his first song, “Without Him.” Elvis Presley and more than a hundred other singers later recorded it.

He was one of the first people to make Christian rock music. He was also a preacher of the gospel who gave many people hope, love, and faith. His wife, Christi, his children, and his grandkids will remember him.

Mylon Lefevre Early Life and Career

Mylon LeFevre was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, on October 6, 1944. His family, The LeFevres, was one of the first Southern gospel groups. When he was young, he started singing and playing guitar with the group. When he was 17, he wrote his first song, “Without Him.”

Elvis Presley and more than a hundred other singers recorded it. He got a check for about $90,000 in royalties for the song, and he used that money to buy his first car, a Chevrolet Corvette. He was in the Army, and then from 1966 to 1968, he was in the Stamps Quartet. In 1964, he came out with his first solo album, New Found Joy.

In 1968, he came out with his second solo album, Your Only Tomorrow. He also signed with Columbia Records and got together with other musicians to make the Holy Smoke Doo Dah Band. LeFevre started a new Christian rock band called Mylon and Broken Heart in 1980. It was one of the most famous Christian rock bands of the 1980s. They made records like “Brand New Start” in 1982, “Sheep in Wolves’ Clothing” in 1985, “Crack the Sky” in 1987, and “Face the Music” in 1990.

They won a number of awards, including Dove Awards and bids for the Grammys. They also played at many shows and festivals, such as the Cornerstone Festival, Creation Festival, Greenbelt Festival, and Harvest Crusade.

Because of health problems, LeFevre stopped going on tour in 1990. In 1992, he had a heart attack and had to have four bypass operations. He also had trouble with drugs and sadness for a long time. He later said that God healed him and set him free in a way that was impossible.

At the time of his death, LeFevre was worth between $1 million and $9 million, according to different reports. He had made so much money as a singer, songwriter, and drummer, which was his main job. He also made money from royalties, TV shows, books, and gifts, among other things. He used his money to help a number of good causes and projects.
