Microsoft keeps making boring software look attractive. Earlier this season the software giant set out sizzle movies for SharePoint and Windows Terminal, That were produced and appeared just like the type of video you’d see for a new Surface device. At Microsoft’s Ignite seminar last week, the company quietly released three brand new sizzle videos for Tasks Yammer, and the Fluid Framework. All three follow the exact same sizzle strategy as the SharePoint movie from earlier this season, seeking to turn what is typically boring software.
Yammer is used by companies as a private social Microsoft, and networking support is currently overhauling it with a brand new design that integrated with Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook. To celebrate this brand new layout, the sizzle video of Microsoft contains reams of paper to get discussions, a focus on dark mode options, and tiny buttons which represent avatars. It makes Yammer seem fun rather than the corporate network that it is in fact. There is something very satisfying about watching pops of colour everywhere and hearing reams of paper that is digital fold.
The tasks video of microsoft is similar. It begins with a Button which bubbles into a splash of colour screen. Microsoft makes use of Surface hardware during these sizzle videos, which will help to make them look appealing and more sleek.
While the first two sizzle videos are all about applications We’re already acquainted with, the final one ventures into the future of Microsoft and also misses the beat. Fluid Framework is a huge push by Microsoft to power the future of collaborative encounters for Office on the web. Fluid is also designed to be a new componentized document model that AI and services can plug into.
Microsoft’s video Attempts to explain this with building Blocks and elaborate glass objects, but then this video doesn’t do much to describe it, if you did not already know about Fluid Framework. Thankfully, Microsoft did explain it fully in a meeting recently. “It requires the idea of what used to be a record and blows it up and replaces it with a significant cloud speech in the skies,” revealed Jared Spataro, head of Microsoft 365. “It allows you, in that particular cloud speech, to place different content components so everything from written word to tables, into visualizations such as graphs all together in 1 place.”
These videos, some of which are produced by design bureau Tendril, Are a new trend for Microsoft, and we see much more of Them in the future. I will have to induce, if these continue Myself to utilize the Yammer, SharePoint, and boring applications to Find out if the new layouts are really as persuasive as these videos make them out to be.
