The series is directed by Liz Garbus and Patton Oswalt. Patton Oswalt is the widow of Michelle McNamara. Famous director Liz Garbus is the co-director of the series.

This series is accurately following Michelle’s passionate obsession. Her obsession was to find the Golden State Killer, especially. Subsequently, she wanted justice for the victims.
