Merlin Santana is an American national. At the age of nine, Merlin Santana made his on-screen debut as an extra in Woody Allen’s 1985 film “The Purple Rose of Cairo.” When he was fifteen years old in 1991, he had a recurring part on “The Cosby Show” as Stanley, Rudy Huxtable’s lover.
He received accolades for his performance and recognition for his acting ability. The American sitcom “Getting By,” which made its ABC debut before moving to NBC in 1993, cast him as Marcus Dixon. But a year later, low viewing led to its cancellation.
He was hired as Joey, who falls in love with Tia and Tamera, in the television sitcom “Sister, Sister” in November 1994. In the 1995 short-lived CBS family drama “Under One Roof,” he portrayed Marcus Henry. The 1996 UPN network sitcom series “Moesha” cast him as Ohagi as well. It operated for more than five years.
