With her lively and enthusiastic demeanor, Hanson was well-known for incorporating her passion for dancing into her live broadcasts. She became well-known at KAIT-8 early in her career by initiating “Dance Party Fridays,” which led to her coworkers lovingly referring to her as “Dancin’ Hanson.” From taking dancing classes at the age of eight to participating in the University of Memphis dance team, the anchor’s love of dance was a lifetime interest.

Amanda Hanson’s Profession 

With a job at Flinn Broadcasting Corporation, Amanda Hanson started her career back in 2004. She contributed her talents to the promotional team for over three years, leaving a lasting impression.

Amanda accepted a new position in 2006 at Local TV LLC, where she spent nearly four years working part-time as an editor and photographer. When she started working for Raycom Media, her career changed direction. She went from being a morning anchor to an investigative reporter.

Amanda moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, but she never wavered in her commitment to Raycom Media until her untimely death in January 2024.
