UFC Fighter Mark Coleman Hospitalized After House Fire Heroics
Coleman got taken to a hospital on Wednesday because he rescued his parents from a fire in Ohio this week. His daughter, Morgan Coleman, shared this news. Then, a video showing Mark Coleman’s emotions was put on Instagram on Thursday.
Coleman said in the video: “I swear to God, I’m so lucky, I can’t believe my parents are alive. I had to make a decision. I got out of my room and went to the door and it was already horrible. I couldn’t breathe. I almost had to go outside, but I went back and got them. I can’t believe it.”
Morgan Coleman said her dad went inside the fire a bunch of times and got his mom and dad out. She said he’s fighting for his life after being a hero. He couldn’t save a dog named Hammer from the fire.

Coleman, from Fremont, Ohio, became the UFC’s initial heavyweight champion in 1997 by beating Dan Severn. Throughout his 14-year career, he won 16 out of 26 fights. In 2008, he was honored with induction into the UFC Hall of Fame.
