Lucky Davis’s Son Missing Body Recovered

The Valdosta Fire Department (VFD) has recovered CJ Johnson’s missing body, which has left the town reeling. The sad event happened on February 18 as Johnson and his cousin were out fishing at Ulmer Pond. Their boat overturned.

After stopping at 1:30 a.m. on Monday, the recovery effort began anew at daylight as committed divers dove into Ulmer Pond. After much searching, the VFD found Johnson, and on February 19, they were able to retrieve his remains in two hours, giving the bereaved family some peace of mind.
