Jodie Chesney, 17, was stabbed to death. She was with her friends, listening to music in a park in East London on March 1, 2019.
Last Phone Call With Stepmother
Joanne, 36, Jodie’s stepmother has revealed her last phone call with her stepdaughter. The day Jodie was killed, Peter, her father and Joanne were celebrating the former’s birthday.
Joanne said; the two over a phone call discussed what present to give to Peter, as Jodie didn’t have a birthday present for him.
Joanne further told; Jodie was to hang out with her friends and do what they all usually did on a Friday night.
No Answers Of The Incident

Peter and Joanne had been married since 2012. The two split, after the unfortunate incident of Jodie’s death.
Joanne said; the incident was so unexpected. And they ended up taking out their grief on each other. She further states that they have been trying to remain friends.
Two men came out of the bush and stabbed Jodie. She couldn’t survive for more than an hour because of the deep wound that resulted in her lung collapse.
Arron Issacs and Svenson Ong-a-Kwie, suspected, were initially identified as drug dealers. The two had been out for revenge on rivals when they killed Jodie by mistake.
However, in November 2019, the pair were found guilty of murder during a trial in Old Bailey. The two were sentenced for life imprisonment.
Joanne mentioned that she visited the court almost every day to find out answers. She wanted the culprits to see what misery they had brought to her life.
However, according to Joanne, she didn’t find the desired answers but hopes that the culprit remains imprisoned for a long time.
She wishes to let the memory of the lovely, caring, and sweetest Jodie live on and also show that such an incident could happen with any normal family.
