Joel Klatt is a former professional baseball and American football player. He presently works for Fox Sports as a sports analyst and color commentator for college football. He was a University of Colorado Buffaloes college football player. Minor League Baseball’s Arizona League Padres selected Klatt in the 2000 MLB Draft; he was a player for the San Diego Padres.
After joining FSN Rocky Mountain as an analyst in 2006, he started his career in broadcasting in 2006. From 2007 to 2008, he hosted Fox Sports Southwest’s college football coverage. Additionally, Klatt guest comments on the sports talk radio program JOX Roundtable, which is situated in Alabama.

Joel Klatt Parents
Gary and Rita Klatt brought their son Klatt up alongside his two sisters as well as other family members. According to the Denver Post, his father is a native of Colorado, where he was born and reared, and where he had coaching roots.
Following his graduation from Wheat Ridge High School in 1963, Klatt decided to play football at Kay Daulton’s Western State University. Joel Klatt Football Career
Klatt was one of the best quarterbacks in Colorado football history. Arriving as a preferred walk-on in 2002, he went on to become the starting quarterback for the Buffaloes from 2003 to 2005, setting 44 school records during that time. Upon his graduation from Colorado, Klatt held the marks for completion percentage (60.8), touchdown passes (44), passing yards (7,375), and rivalry percentage (666).
Klatt is one of the few pundits who can legitimately assert that he is a professional in two major sports. He had to postpone starting his college football career because of the time he spent playing professional baseball following high school.
After the San Diego Padres selected him in the eleventh round of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft in 2000, Klatt played in the Padres’ minor league system for two seasons before he decided to give up baseball to concentrate on his University of Colorado football career. He signed with the New Orleans Saints as a free agent in 2006 after taking part in rookie minicamps with the Detroit Lions.
