Israel PM, UAE, and Bahrain officials signed a US-sponsored deal in Washington on Tuesday. The agreement is to normalize diplomatic relations between the countries.
At the White House ceremony on Tuesday, Trump mentioned the deal as the “dawn of a new Middle East.”
Israel’s And UAE’s Choice Of Peace
Trump, during the ceremony, marked the day as “an important day for peace.”
Israel’a PM, Benjamin Netanyahu, said; Israel shows ‘profound gratitude’ for the deal. PM thanked Trump for proposing a vision of peace between Israel and the Palestinian through this deal. Trump regarded Netanyahu as a “great leader.” Moreover, Benjamin stressed the statement; Israeli power would achieve peace.
UAE foreign minister, present at the White House to sign the deal, lauded Netanyahu and Trump. UAE FM, Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan, praised Israeli PM for choosing peace and halting the annexation of Palestinian territories. He further mentioned; this a chord will help the two stand by Palestinian and help them realize their hopes for an independent state within a prosperous region.
Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayan also supported the deal for a broader regional peace.

“Criticism”
However, apart from the celebrations, the deal is receiving a lot of criticism as well.
Political opponents in Israel blame the PM for not disclosing the full details about the agreement before the ceremony. Reportedly, full information was not disclosed due to the “sensitivity of the wording.”
There were Palestinian rights activists near the White House to denounce the deal. Moreover, there were protests on the streets of the Palestinian territories.
Palestinian PM, Mohammad Shtayyeh, termed the signing of the deal day as a “black day” for the Arab world.
