Even if you’re just vaguely acquainted with some of the more famous Isekai anime, you’re going to like ‘Isekai Quartet.’ Although the characters do not seem to be identical to their original versions due to the chibi-style animation, this type of animation makes them look sweeter and somehow also makes their gags funnier.
Apart from that, these characters’ personalities have been precisely captured and very closely resemble those of their respective original incarnations.
There is little character development or overarching narratives in this film, but its laugh-a-minute style is plenty to keep you entertained. Whether you’ve been following ‘Isekai Quartet’ for a long and are wondering if it will ever return for a third season, read on to find out.
Isekai Quartet Season 3 Release date
Unfortunately, the animation company responsible for “Isekai Quartet,” Studio Puyukai, has not given a release date for Season 3. It, however, is likely to save audience excitement for the forthcoming “Isekai Quartet” film, which is scheduled for release in 2022.
Season 3 will certainly be revealed to fans before, and potentially after, the film’s premiere. It suggests that Season 3 might debut in late 2022 or early 2023.
Thankfully, the show’s producers confirmed the third season during Season 2’s last episode (via Funimation). Similarly, previous releases corroborate the aforementioned predicted release timetable, including an approximately year-long hiatus between Seasons 1 and 2.
Assuming the “Isekai Quartet” film is viewed as a separate season, the series will have one entry every year. Naturally, something might always go wrong and disturb that delicate process. However, unless Studio Puyukai states otherwise, this is a reasonable assumption to assume.
Isekai Quartet Season 3 Plot
As a lighter spinoff series, “Isekai Quartet” is not required to follow a rigid narrative. The episode opens with each protagonist discovering a strange button that, when pushed, transports them to a whole other planet.
This time, most of their exploits occur inside the walls of a high school. As a result, many episodes center around typical high school anime cliches.
Season 2 finds the mixed potpourri of isekai heroes preparing for their new school’s annual festival, exchanging Valentine’s cards, and snatching wine from their principal’s office.
Similar hijinks are likely to occur when all crews reunite in Season 3. Whatever the case, the adventures of the “Isekai Quartet” crew will remain as joyful and enjoyable as ever, a far cry from their former worlds’ dark tragedies.
