According to a police report, “the involved vehicle struck a utility pole causing significant damage.” The Hackettstown teen female motorist was declared dead at the site of the accident.

Superintendent Debra Grigoletti emailed the community to let them know that high school counselors would be accessible on Sunday and Monday to help students and staff.

Hackettstown High School Student Dies in Washington Township Crash
A senior from Hackettstown who was killed in a car accident over the weekend in Washington Township will be honored with a candlelight ceremony on Tuesday.
Isabella Todaro, age 17, and her twin brother Louis both went to Hackettstown High School.
Washington Township Mayor Matt Murello described her death on Saturday as a “terrible accident on the mountain.” Hackettstown’s mayor, Jerry DiMaio, was upset, according to a conversation Murello had with him. In the words of the author, this is a “amazing family that loves their town.”
Murello stated in a statement, “It is not natural for a parent to lose a child under any circumstances.”
According to the Hackettstown youth travel baseball team, they were in the middle of a game when they heard the news about Todaro, and they were “incredibly stunned.”
