Matthew Gray Gubler’s Early Life
On March 9, 1980, Matthew Gray Gubler was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is the son of political consultant and rancher Marilyn Kelch and lawyer John Gubler. Gubler has a brother named Gray and a sister named Laura.
Laura is a fashion designer, and Matthew directed the “Reagan” music video for Whirlwind Heat, in which Gray made an appearance. Gubler attended the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts to study acting because the filmmaking program there was what he was most interested in studying.
Matthew majored in film directing at New York University Tisch School of the Arts after finishing high school.
