The media took notice of the divorce between Kenya Duke and Gary Owen, which was reportedly brought on by irreconcilable differences. Kenya Duke, who left her job as an account manager to help the comedian, requested $44,000 a month in spousal support from Owen.
Kenya Duke accused Gary Owen of having extramarital affairs while they were married and of hiding money from the family during the divorce process. In a now-deleted Instagram post, she even went so far as to call him a “lying narcissist” and accuse him of not paying the mortgage, which she purportedly paid.
Gary Owen, on the other hand, initially refrained from commenting on the situation because of legal counsel. Nevertheless, in June 2021, he finally addressed Kenya’s accusations when he made an appearance on the Wendy Williams Show. A “big twist” had occurred in their divorce, he mentioned, but he was unable to discuss it at the time.
