Iran has been planning to avenge the death of General Qassem Soleimani. And as per some sources it is plotting the assassination of an US envoy.
Trump Warns Iran
Iran is really furious after the killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani on January by US troops. And has been plotting ways to retaliate. According to US intelligence bureau Iran has targeted US Ambassador to South Africa Lana Marks.
And has been planning her assassination. As per the reports Iran has chosen her because of her proximity with President Donald Trump. But Trump has surged warning against the country. And he said that if they try to cause any harm to the ambassador or attack the nation in any way than they will have to face bigger consequences.
Trump issued this warning through a tweet. As he went on saying that as Iran is trying to avenge the death of a terrorist by killing harmless people than they will have to pay their price.
Iran’s Retaliation Plan
So recently in an article published by Politico it was mentioned that Iran will avenge the killing of Soleimani. Therefore sources have confirmed that they have targeted US envoy Lana Marks and some other bureaucrats.
But their main target is Marks because she has been a close friend of Trump. And since Soleimani was killed on Trump’s orders then they would target someone really close to him. Moreover as she is the ambassador to South Africa it will be easy for Iran to carry out their plan.
And that is because they have some sort of illegal connections in South Africa. As per the reports the assassination will be carried out taking the help of Iranian embassy situated in South Africa. Therefore Marks is the easiest target for them.
But after Trump’s warning we are all waiting for a response from Iran.
