Suresh Raina and his return to the CSK squad is a topic of heated discussion amidst the ongoing Indian Premier League season.
On Sunday, September 26th, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that Raina wouldn’t return to join the CSK squad. But he mentions that the fans will soon get reasons to smile.
He told ANI, “We cannot look at Raina because he made himself unavailable, and we respect his decision and his space. We are not thinking about it,”
Vishwanathan also says “I can assure the fans that we will bounce back strongly. It’s a game, and you have your good and bad days. But the boys know what they need to do, and the smiles will be back,”
Raina has undoubtedly been an essential part of CSK for all these years.
He is the second-highest run-getter in the history of IPL.
Raina even went to the UAE to participate in IPL, but he had to return to India after his uncle was murdered.
What Does Dhoni Say About Loss Of CSK To DC?
After CSK’s rather humiliating defeat against DC, CSK skipper MSD admits that there is lack of ‘steam’ in the batting lineup.
Dhoni says that they lack “steam in the batting and that hurts”.
As a result, the run rate keeps on increasing after the slow start of the inning, and that adds pressure.
Dhoni believes that the team needs to come back and look at the combination.
He says “There are quite a few things we can think about. We are one batter extra to start off, so the players need to step up,”
CSK have already played three games in the Indian Premier League 2020 so far. Also, they are now placed in the fifth position in the points table.
