Wherever there are beaches on the East Coast, you can bet that MTV film teams will follow close behind, capturing all of the mayhem that ensues when eight people live together while consuming an unhealthy quantity of booze. In the 2000s, “Jersey Shore” seized the zeitgeist, establishing Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi as a household figure.
Now, if you want to see people argue one minute and then connect as friends the next, you can check in to “Floribama Shore,” which is similar to its predecessor in that it follows a group of friends as they spend the summer in the same home, partying hard whenever the occasion presents itself.
The reality program has been running for four seasons, with the most current being the most difficult to shoot so far. Season 4 pulled the ensemble away from the panhandle and forced a temporary stop to shoot owing to a staff member contracting COVID-19 during production (via Deadline).
MTV has not yet confirmed if the program has been renewed or canceled, but if it does, here are our expectations for “Floribama Shore” season 5.
Floribama Shore Season 5 Release Date
Season 4 of “Floribama Shore” began filming in late 2020 and will broadcast between February and May 2021. That means the last expedition for the Floribama team is still fresh in fans’ minds, and MTV is likely still gauging interest before embarking on another vacation.

Assuming no more delays are incurred due to the COVID-19 epidemic, we anticipate that production for the fifth season will begin later this year, with new episodes arriving late in 2022 or early in 2023.
Season 4 provided a change of scenery for the actors, as they were relocated to Montana, a far cry from the bright, sunny beaches of the panhandle.
Additionally, they were relocated to Lake Havasu during Season 4, indicating that the production staff is eager to move away from the Floribama Shore portion of the reality program. However, this is not the only element that might affect the likelihood of Season 5 going place.
Floribama Shore Season 5 Cast
The principal cast of “Floribama Shore” stayed intact throughout the first three seasons. However, when the fourth round arrived, there was a notable dropout. Kortni Gilson was forced to leave the program mid-season due to mental health difficulties.
In an interview with Dr. Drew Pinsky, she revealed that she had previously been a victim of sexual assault and wanted to withdraw from the cameras for her mental health.
Mattie Lynn Breaux stepped in to fill her shoes. However, she did not return for Season 4. She received a lot of backlash on social media for her drunk driving past, and she ultimately wrote on Instagram about having to quit the show for her mental health, Reddit reports.
If MTV proceeds with Season 5, there is a strong possibility that Nilsa Prowant will not return. Late in 2020, she disclosed her pregnancy, and the news likely influenced Season 4.

Due to the difficulty of partying and being away from a baby for a lengthy period, she may not return. Additionally, MTV may bring in fresh talent — or build an entirely new ensemble from the ground up. At the moment, there is not enough information to identify who may visit the Floribama Shore.
