Elise Finch, an American weather forecaster, served the CBS New York station WCBS-TV for 16 years. Hailing from Mount Vernon, New York, she completed her education at Georgetown University followed by Syracuse University.

Finch was a distinguished member of the American Meteorological Society, from which she received a seal of approval for her work in meteorology.

Elise Finch, who served as a meteorologist for the CBS New York affiliate WCBS-TV for over 16 years, tragically passed away on July 17, 2023, at 51 years old. The specific cause of her death has yet to be revealed, although her coworkers have indicated that her death was sudden.

Elise Finch Career 

She began working as a meteorologist in the organization’s meteorological conditions section in April 2007 and also held a meteorology position at NBC. Elise then began anchoring the MSNBC and NBC Climate “Early Today Show.”

She has also held positions at several media outlets, including the CBS affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona, where she anchors the week’s last weather report. As a meteorologist, Finch began working with the WCBS weather conditions section in 2007.

She was also a meteorologist for NBC before coming to CBS. From then on, she also managed to obtain the “Early Today Show” on NBC Climate and MSNBC. Elise has received several accolades for her work in combating climate change, including Emmy honors.

Nevertheless, Finch has worked for a variety of media outlets, including the CBS affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona, where she substituted for the anchor for the end-of-week weather reports. She also had a stint as an anchor and correspondent for Youngstown, Ohio-based FOX and CBS affiliates.

Elise’s career journey also started at E! Diversion TV, where she was the display facilitator for events and exclusive activities. Her astounding method of communicating climate projections has made her one of the most amazing meteorologists.

Elise Finch’s husband was a photojournalist named Graig Henriques. They met while employed at the same station, WCBS-TV, where they both worked. Graig has over 20 years of experience in the news industry and is a graduate of Syracuse University.
