He gave this statement on Tuesday as reported by CNN. The Spanish Flu came in the year 1918 and claimed over 50 million lives.

Doctor Fauci was quoted by CNN, during the Georgetown University webinar said, “I think I can’t deny that fact….If you look at the magnitude of the 1918 pandemic where anywhere from 50 to 75 to 100 million people globally died, that was the mother of all pandemics and truly history.”

Dr Fauci added, “I hope we don’t even approach that with this, but it does have the makings of, the possibility of….. approaching that in seriousness.”

” They’re seeing record numbers of cases, most interestingly, among young individuals.”

The Spanish flu was extremely deadly. It took one third of the global population under it’s influence. That was as many as 500 million people.

Therefore according to Doctor Fauci says that coronavirus, a pandemic of “historic proportions” can be as severe as the Spanish flu. Fauci says that California, Florida, Arizona and Texas are the states that should be looked over.

The coronavirus started in China’s Wuhan province and today has spread across to more than 180 countries.
