DDG Music Career

Among his earliest recordings, DDG made a diss track to rapper Lil Yachty called “Big Boat.” “Balenciagas,” “Free Parties,” and “Lettuce,” the latter of which turned into a significant hit on YouTube, were some of his other early tracks. With the release of his track “Givenchy” in late 2017, DDG enjoyed even greater success. That song was on his 2018 first EP, “Take Me Serious.” DDG inked a record deal with Epic Records following that release. In March 2019, he proceeded to release the EP “Sorry 4 the Hold Up.”

DDG released his debut studio album, “Valedictorian,” later that year. The album featured the Gold-certified single “Arguments.” “Push,” another single from the album, was also available. In the summer of 2020, DDG released “Moonwalking in Calabasas,” his most commercially successful single to date. It was also his first song to debut at number 82 on the Billboard Hot 100. Two remixes of the song followed, the first with YG and the second with Blueface.

DDG and OG Parker collaborated to release the mixtape “Die 4 Respect” in March 2021. On the Billboard 200, it peaked at number 61. In 2022, DDG released “It’s Not Me It’s You,” his second studio album. The Gunna single “Elon Musk,” which peaked at number 48 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, served as the album’s supporting track. The album included further songs, including “9 Lives,” which featured Polo G and NLE Choppa.
