How Did Danny Bonaduce Handle the Charges After the Incident?
Bonaduce’s early thirties were marked by multiple brushes with the law. In 1990, he was arrested in Florida for trying to buy cocaine for the first time. The timing of Bonaduce’s arrest couldn’t have been worse: he was in Florida to present a kids’ anti-drug event.
A little over a year later, Bonaduce was jailed once again for robbery and battery when he assaulted prostitute Darius Barney. Barney’s injuries included a broken nose and scrapes. Following his guilty plea, Bonaduce was ordered to pay for Barney’s medical expenses.
Later in life, Bonaduce got into an argument in front of the cameras with Survivor contestant Jonny Fairplay. After Fairplay rushed on Bonaduce in an oddly forceful embrace during the Fox Reality Awards, Bonaduce flung Fairplay over his head. Fairplay was injured as he fell flat on his face. Later, he filed criminal battery charges, but the police concluded Bonaduce was acting in self-defense and dismissed the case.
