But, will there be more episodes of The Cuphead Show! in the future? Is this something that will be completed in a single session? We’re here for you, just like the Mugman is for your Cuphead. Listed here is everything you need to know about the upcoming season of this new television series.
Cuphead Show Season 1 Recap
Cuphead and Mugman travel to the city in order to have Elder Kettle’s glasses repaired after accidentally treading on them while attempting to steal cookies. They come upon Ms. Chalice, a con artist who uses her charm to trick others into giving her free items. They track her out and eventually approach her and ask her to show them her tricks. In order to put her lessons into practice, she has them charm their way into a cookie factory, where she tests their skills.
The trio proceeds to enjoy the complimentary cookies, but Ms. Chalice unintentionally activates the quiet alarm, resulting in the factory being surrounded by police. When Cuphead and Mugman become overly concerned, they accidentally knock themselves out. As the policemen close in on the boys, Ms. Chalice unwillingly abandons them, assuming a ghostly shape in order to flee as the police arrest and imprison the brothers.
Cuphead Show Season 2 Expected Release Date
You can be sure that you’ll be getting additional episodes. This animation series was ordered by Netflix in January of 2022 for a total of 36 episodes, which was revealed in January of 2022. Those episodes are anticipated to be released in three distinct batches, which means we can expect both a Season 2 and a Season 3 of the show. We are confident that fresh episodes of The Cuphead Show! will be released in the near future. But when is it going to happen? That’s where things start to become a little murky.
The animated series was first revealed by Netflix in the summer of 2019. However, it wasn’t until the Annecy International Animation Film Festival a year later that viewers were given their first glimpse of the series. In accordance with this timeframe, it takes approximately one to two years to produce a new season of The Cuphead Show! New episodes will most likely premiere in 2023 or 2024, at the earliest.

Cuphead Show Season 2 Expected Plotline
In the premiere episode, Cuphead (Tru Valentino) loses his soul to the Devil (Luke Millington Drake) during an erroneous skee-ball game. It was mostly Cuphead and Mugman (Frank T. Todaro) on their numerous escapades, in which they got themselves into trouble and typically tried to dodge the Devil, that the majority of the season followed. Because the war with Hell’s landlord is still ongoing, there’s a chance that Season 2 will include additional standoffs and, possibly, some genuine battles. It’s possible that this next season will continue the tale of the first. A scene in which Cuphead and Mugman attempt to repay the Devil by collecting souls on his behalf would certainly be appropriate.
There’s also Mrs. Chalice (Grey Griffin), the matriarch of the group. Cuphead’s downloadable content, The Delicious Last Course, was originally scheduled to be released in 2019. Among the new features of the expansion was the introduction of Mrs. Chalice, a new playable character. But you’re familiar with how video games work. There are delays, then there are global pandemics, and it all becomes a complete disaster. The Delicious Last Course will now be available on June 30, 2022, according to the company. And, given that this is the first time Mrs. Chalice will be seen in the game, you can guarantee that her debut in The Cuphead Show! will be a big event. Get ready to see a lot more of this endearing fireball.
