Reason Behind Bloomberg’s Proposal
In March, Bloomberg curtailed his presidential run after bearing an expense of $1 billion for his four-month campaign. The billionaire wants to use his funds for Florida to give Biden a strong edge.
Florida is a critical state for both Trump and Biden.
Bloomberg’s willingness to invest cash shows the Democrats’ concerns for the tight race in the state. Florida is known to be a priority of Trump.
For Biden to win in Florida would mean complications in Trump’s path to victory.
Republicans are highly confident about Florida. They have evidence of the GOP victory in 2018 and the unexpected turnout in 2016 in their favor.
Republicans are spending about $8 million more than the Democrats in Florida. This is towards the future television ad reservations, as reviewed by ‘The Associated Press’.
How Much Did Bloomberg Already Spend On The Democrats?

He exited the presidential race, but he assured to spend anything to defeat Trump. It is known that he has already invested millions to support Biden.
Bloomberg moved around $18 million from his presidential campaign to the ‘Democratic National Committee’.
To help register Latino voters, he has contributed $500,000 to Voto Latino. Also, to help register African American voters, he gave $2 million to the group Collective Future.
Bloomberg gave another $2 million to Swing Left, a group working towards electing Democrats in the swing districts.
Another group that he has founded and funded, ‘Everytown for Gun Safety’, has reportedly spent $60 million on elections this time.
He also gave another $60 million to support Democrats in House races.
