Bert Kreischer is an American stand-up comedian, actor, reality television host, writer, producer and podcaster. He was born Albert Kreischer Jr. on November 3, 1972, in Tampa, Florida. His mother, Gege, worked in early childhood development, while his father, Al, practiced real estate law.
After completing his studies at Jesuit High School, Bert enrolled in Florida State University, where he majored in English and became a member of the fraternity Alpha Tau Omega. Bert Kreischer Career
A talent agent saw Bert Kreischer’s stand-up routine at Potbelly’s in Tallahassee, Florida, and eventually took him to New York City. While working at the door of the Boston Comedy Club, he became well-known for his compelling storytelling and his shirtless performances. One of his most memorable stories was about how he got the nickname “The Machine” on a crazy undergraduate trip to Russia.
A movie based on this tale was released in 2023. In 2004 Kreischer was on National Lampoon Live: New Faces – Volume 2 and appeared in stories on Shorties Watchin’ Shorties. He performed all around the world, appearing on talk shows and releasing specials like Netflix’s Secret Time (2018), Hey Big Boy (2020), and Razzle Dazzle (2023), as well as Comedy Central’s Comfortably Dumb (2009) and Showtime’s The Machine (2016).
