Who’s Directing Hollywood’s Live-action Adaptation of Attack on Titan?
Variety reported in October 2018 that Andy Muschietti, the director of IT and The Flash, was tapped to direct a live-action Attack on Titan movie.
Sandra Muschietti said in a November interview, ‘I’m fascinated by Attack on Titan.’ I originally saw the anime and then read the manga. I find it fascinating–there are a lot of themes in there that attract me a lot, so I want to talk about them. It’s also an exciting horror story. There are also many human elements – so I really want to do it. The live-action Attack on Titan movie release date is set for March 29, 2019.
Kodansha and Warner Bros. have not yet announced the release date for Muschietti’s live-action Attack on Titan movie. The release date for the live-action Hollywood adaptation has been rumored to be 2020, but Muschietti is likely to work on the DC Comics film The Flash that hit theaters in 2019.
