The release date for Apex Legends season 15 is coming up, and it looks like it will bring a new legend, map, and heirloom with it. The battle royale game has been getting better and better as each season brings in more content.
It looked like Loba’s Apex Legends heirloom would come out with Season 15, but we now know that it will be part of the Beast of Prey collection event instead. This means that the next big update could give an heirloom to one of seven legends.
The last season of the year is usually the most exciting because the three seasons before it all had a new map. From what we’ve seen in determined leaks, season 15 will keep this trend going. Here’s what we know so far about the new season, including who the next legend will be, where the new map will be set, and a lot more.
Apex Season 15 Release Date Details
Based on the in-game countdown and the fact that new seasons usually start on Tuesdays, Apex Legends Season 15 will start on November 1. This is also when the Fight or Fright event is supposed to end.
Respawn has always released a new season of Apex every three months, with the exception of the third season, which lasted just over four months.
Who Is The 15th Season’s New Legend?
Respawn has announced that “Catalyst” will be the new Season 15 Legend. Even though we don’t know much about her story, we do know that she is the first transgender woman to join the Apex games.
We don’t know exactly what skills she has yet, but we do know she can control a substance called “ferrofluid.”
Leaks about Catalyst said they were a “creative builder” who could do the following:
Passive: Reinforce
Standing near your ferrofluid structures, doors, and other Legends placeables will make them stronger and allow them to take much more damage.
Tactical: Ferro Shot
When the shot hits, it makes a ramp of solidified ferro fluid that can be made longer by firing more shots. Also can be used to build platforms on walls (Max 3 structures).
Ultimate: Iron Tower
Ferrofluid rises up from below, pushing you up while making a tall, solid column under you.
As always, leaks can change, so by the time the new Legend comes out, all of this could have been changed or even thrown out.
In Season 15, Will There Be A New Map?
We now know for sure that there will be a new map in Season 15 that will take us to the moon of the destroyed planet Boreas.
Seer lives on Boreas, and Catalyst lives there, too. This will be a completely different setting than anything we’ve seen before in Apex Legends.
We can also expect Olympus to be back in Season 15 since it was taken out for a season.
Will Gifting Happen In Season 15?
Yes, gifting is the big new thing for Season 15 from Respawn. You can give your friends up to 5 items per day if you’ve been friends for at least two weeks, are level 10 or higher, and your account is in good standing (no bans).
