Ashley Ciminella Judd was born on April 19, 1968, in Los Angeles and raised in Kentucky. She is Naomi Judd’s and Michael Charles Ciminella’s daughter. Judd’s parents divorced in 1972, and she went to Kentucky to live with her mother. A stay-at-home mother at the time of her birth, she began singing professionally in the early 1980s.
