Vine star Adam Perkins of “Welcome to Chili’s” fame passed away at 24. Patrick Perkins, Perkins’ twin brother, confirmed the news on Instagram with a tearful post.

Adam Perkins is a musician and content creator on the now-defunct Vine app. Patrick Perkins, his twin brother, shared the news on Instagram late on Tuesday night. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner reports that Adam died on April 11 from accidental multiple drug intoxication.
“I can’t even really put into words what this loss means for me,” Patrick wrote. “I’m often asked the question, ‘What’s it like to be a twin?’ and my response is usually, ‘What’s it like to NOT be a twin?’ ”
He continued, “Being a twin is a very central part of my identity. It’s all I’ve known. And I’m struggling to find the words to explain what it will be like for me to live in this world without him. My best friend.”

The video on Vine, the well-known seven-second video app from the 2010s, had over 25 million loops before it closed its doors in 2016.
On the now-defunct app, Adam amassed almost 300,000 followers and collaborated with his brother on several other viral skits.
Adam was not only a social media star but also a musician who earned a degree in musical composition from New York University. In 2018, he released his debut album, “Latch Relay,” under the moniker Plas Teg.

He was a seasoned sound designer and composer who released his debut album, Akimbo, with three tracks in 2015.
