Rebuilding Together is an organization that helps out people in need, and they came forward for the eighth consecutive year to help out again.
Cal Maritime

They planned an event at Cal Maritime, but unfortunately, it got cancelled due to low air-breathing quality due to the number of fires that happened in North Carolina. It was supposed to happen on Friday.
But this didn’t stop them as they moved out to the next project, only they didn’t do it on Cal Maritime but at the Vallejo Community Presbyterian Church off Georgia Street.
The Veterans

At there several Veterans packed food for other Veterans and everyone else. The food care package includes canned goods, applesauce, oatmeal, rice, pasta, toothpaste and a toothbrush as well as hand sanitizer.
They will also give this out to the people in a rescheduled event on Sunday from ten to noon at Cal Maritime.
The Executive Director of Rebuilding Together Elizabeth Hoffman says,
“Like many, I was shocked when I saw what happened on 9/11. I wasn’t around for Pearl Harbor, but I’ve been told it compares to Pearl Harbor. It touches my heart when I see people come out today and take this day that’s known for tragedy and try to turn it into a day of community service and giving back.”
And she also said that she was impressed by every veteran that offered help and this is indeed such a good cause.
