Halo Infinite developers 343 Industries has released a lengthy blog post. They’ve answered a bunch of fan questions, including those about the visuals. The game’s graphics have come under scrutiny ever since we first saw gameplay footage at the Xbox Games Showcase.
343 Industries Talk About Halo Infinite’s Art Style
They acknowledged that they’d heard the criticism that fans have about the game’s graphics. They also provided a lengthy explanation as to why the game looks the way it does. Specifically, they spoke about the game’s visual style.
“With Halo Infinite, we’re returning to a more ‘classic’ art style which was a key message going back to the very first reveal that garnered enthusiastic and positive responses. This translates to a more vibrant palette, “cleaner” models and objects with less “noise”, though it doesn’t mean less detail,” it reads.

Halo Infinite Build From Xbox Games Showcase Was Weeks Old
They also acknowledged that it doesn’t look top tier, the way it should. “We do have work to do to address some of these areas and raise the level of fidelity and overall presentation for the final game,” they wrote. “The team is committed and focused on making sure we have a beautiful world for players to explore when we launch.”
This is a fairly sincere response to all the criticism about the game’s visuals. They do also mention that the demonstration we saw was several weeks old. We’re all expecting the game to look much better at release than it did during the showcase.

343 Industries Even Joked About Craig
343 Industries even went so far as to poke fun at the “Craig” meme that has spawned from all this For those of you who don’t know, “Craig” is the name that the community has given to one of the brutes that Master Chief kills during the gameplay demo.
People who went through the video frame by frame noticed that the brute’s face is completely expressionless. The fact that we hear him croak in pain simply breaks the immersion. Hopefully, we won’t see Craig appear in the final game when it comes out this holiday.
